Thursday Links

The quote of the week this week is by Samuel Clemens, better known by his pseudonym Mark Twain regarding experience. It is: "A man who carries a cat by the tail learns something he can learn in no other way". While giving a pretty good image in your mind, the quote also gives sage advice on learning things in a difficult manner. Sometimes it is the only way. As I embark on medical school I am looking forward to the difficult that will teach me the experience I need.

The link of the week this week is Totally Looks Like. Celebrities who look like other people or objects. I think this is my favorite so far. Or maybe this one.

The game of the week this week is called Pandemic 2. Basically, you are a bacteria, virus, or parasite and attempt to kill every human in the world. Try to not be detected and good luck killing off the human race.

The photo of the week this week was taken on my college's campus. He looks like a creature ... maybe even Tik-Tok from "Return to Oz".

The video of the week is Bert and Ernie from Sesame Street made to look like they are rapping to "Ante Up" ... it is actually really, really well done:

(1.02 mile warm-up in 7:46, 3000 m in spikes in 10:11, 3000 m in trainers in 10:50, 1.29 mile cool-down in 8:51 [6:53 pace] .. total -- 6.03 miles in 37:38 [6:14.5 avg])
