It's a wonderful night, you gotta' take it from me. It's a wonderful night come on and break it on down.

Today is a rave for the only thing I have to look forward to in the next few days ... besides studying and complaining about studying when you are enrolled in school is like complaining that your PBR taste horrible. You knew it was going to have its bad parts, but you put up with it for the end result. Blind drunkenness ... or a degree. You know .. same diff.

I have not been so excited for a winter break since I last believed in Santa Claus. A lot has changed in the four years since then. A lot of the belief has been lost ... ok all of it... in more ways than one. However, this year I get a 17 day break from school and it has never felt better. Since we started on August 18 (11th if you count orientation, which was pretty damn busy) our days without classes (other than weekends) have (parenthesis party!) been: September 1, September 12, October 10, October 13-14, October 16, November 4, November 14, November 26, 27, 28, December 12, and December 16-17. On first look 14 days off isn't bad. Let me break it down day by day ... micromachine announcer man style:

September 1 was Labor Day and I drove to Michigan and back for a wedding and we had a test on Wednesday, September 12 was a day to study before our exam on Monday, October 10, 13, 14 were days before our Wednesday exam and the 16th was the day between that exam and our Friday exam, November 4 was election day and I drove to and from Lexington to see a good friend I had been neglecting, November 14 was a Friday before a Monday exam, November 26-28 was Thanksgiving and I refused to drive to Michigan for family because I used the time to try and catch up on work (I tried and did not catch up), December 12 was a Friday before our exam yesterday, and today and tomorrow are our days before our finals Thursday.

Phew. Like I said, I can't complain because I knew the workload. But ... I am really excited to have a long break. With no work needed to be done.

I concur! And so glad you spent November 4th electing our next president and catching up! Neglect was a 2-way street!
