Whistle while I work

I want to rave about Twitter today. I just started using it and I cannot even explain why I like this thing so much. Obviously it'll make a great blog entry.

I don't write things on it too much and I don't even check it too often. However, there is something fun about seeing a message pop up from Shaq or Snoop Dogg or John Cleese on your screen. Yes Shaq "twitters" and I give him a lot of props for just being completely himself instead of using some media person to handle it (like some celebs) or watering it down in some manner. More celebs should take note.

Anyway, check it out if you want to and play around. See who you find, though some "celebs" are not really celebs if you know what I mean. There are even twitters from NASA sending info from their various projects in space, which is cool. Governments (Obama, 10 Downing Street, Israeli Consulate) also have a presence, as do news and charity organizations. It is pretty interesting concept to get up to instant information from 10 Downing Street.

That said find some of the really funny ones ... often obviously fake ones. So far I really like Tina Fey (I've read it is fake, but saw somewhere it is real), Retired Bush, Bill Clinton, and John Mayer (which is by all acounts real but he just constantly spoofs the image of him as a giant douche, which is funny).
