Cruisin the streets

One day in high school I was driving down the road. I was going the speed limit and the nearest car was a ways away from me. It was a little two lane road near a neighborhood, so no one was moving too fast.

All of a sudden I was really close to a stopped car. I have no idea what happened and I veered sharply to the right into some grass. Just happened to be the only ditch on the road. I jerked the car back to the left and miraculously ended up back on the road.

I was confused. I had no idea how I came upon the car so fast. My car was fine, save for grass stuck in my side window.

No other probelms though, but scary.
