More like dumb phone

So about a month and a half ago I finally upgraded to a smart phone. I need one for school in 18 months and figured I would go ahead and get used to using one until then. My old plan was already month to month and my old phone was pushing three years old (it started to break down a day after I ordered my new phone).

To top it off the plan I would be getting cost the same per month for the same amount of minutes, but gave me unlimited text and data. It was a win win win situation.

Then my phone got lost in the mail. Then they charged me for the lost phone and the one I finally received. Then they credited me money. Then they tried to charge me for two monthly plans since they thought I had two phones still. Finally when that all got straightened out my phone’s screen stopped working.

The phone hasn’t been dropped. It hasn’t had anything spilled on it delicate features. It is also ten days past the warranty. I did not buy insurance because …. I was never offered insurance. Joy of joys.

So I sit here in Vegas, unhappy, with a phone that may as well be Zach Morris’s. I can receive calls if I hear/feel them but I have no clue who is calling. I can call out if I am careful and know the person’s number I want to call.

Needless to say, I am a little angry. Next steps are to figure out if I was actually offered insurance (I really don’t think I was) and complain if I was not. If that fails I will just bitch and moan in general for the fact my phone just stopped working for no reason immediately after the warranty ended. If that doesn’t work … I will have to buy a new phone … with insurance.

You will probably see this topic on a Monday or Tuesday in the future. I hope a Tuesday. I will keep the name of the phone and the company quiet until I find out more. Maybe they will step up to the plate for me.
