Too much tini ...

Today marks the end of one of my favorite tv show: "Scrubs". It marks the third straight year I thought that was true, but it got renewed two years ago, the writer's strike ruined that possibility and the show changed channels, and finally now it will happen.

Two years ago when the show didn't look like it would be picked back up by NBC I was also leaving a place I had called home. On one of my last nights in town I went to my favorite burger place (where you can get a burger for a dollar after 10 pm) with a couple friends.

One of my friends, we will call him JD because he remind me of JD on "Scrubs", really wanted to buy me a drink as a going away present. I finally relented on the condition that it was an appletini in honor of Scrubs and that he drink half.

He came back from the bar and said they didn't make them, but the bartender would do what he could. Five minutes later an appletini was sitting in front of me.

So, JD and I drank that appletini like champions. Two straws ... at the same time. Of course a picture was taken. We laughed. I described it as the character JD would on the show as "Too much tini, not enough apple."

JD then went inside to pay for the drink. Our waitress, a female, saw him and went to get the check. When she brought it back to him at the bar (I was outside at our table) she smiled really big and said, "Aww you found someone to share with! LUCKY!"

Needless to say, JD didn't go back to that restaurant for awhile.
