Crack open a cold one...

So everyone who knows me knows I am not a big beer fan. I will drink it if need be, but I prefer a liquor drink. Sue me. However, I did drink a beer recently I liked and I do enjoy beer miles so maybe there is hope for me yet.

So what is a Beer Mile? It is ridiculousness personified. Okay its not too insane. It involves chugging four beers and running a mile. On your mark get set go. Chug. Run a quarter. Chug. Run a quarter. Chug. Run a quarter. Chug. Run a quarter. Finish. All through there is the thought "don't puke" because if you do you are running another lap.

So in the end your are drunk (four beers in 9-12 minutes on average and not eating dinner yet will do that to you), but you hopefully have not puked. It is a glorious feeling. One that I try to have once or twice a summer.

What makes the Beer Mile so much fun though is the people I do it with. A fun group of people we joke and laugh the whole time. We have more stories from these runs than I can relate. Afterwards, we order some pizza, eat, and sober up. Even my mom comes out and watches us sometimes.

This rant is for beer miles and have safe fun with my friends. We are doing one tonight. It will be grand.

(3.48 miles in 24:52, 7:10 avg pace ... Beer Mile results --> beers: 27, 49, 41, 44 all include time to open beer, pick up can, etc.), quarters: 84, 94, 88, 77, total: 8:25 a new PR)
