One week and counting until I get to attend the Girl Talk "concert". It should be super sweet. Not really sure if you can call it a concert since it is just a guy and his turntables/computer playing the songs he has already mashed together. However, I know his CDs are made for parties and the whole concert will be awesome from start to finish.
If you do not know Girl Talk ... check him out on his myspace. You can click the top banner on his page and download his most recent album "Feed the Animals" and pay whatever you want. I paid absolutely nothing for the CD. Then I bought a ticket to his concert. That is why giving away music for free works if it is a download. No overhead costs on making and storing and shipping CDs. Plus if your product is stellar (and his is stellar) you get hardcore fans that want to see you live.
