The person of the week this week is Dalia Zalida. When she was 8, she fought against a ceremony planned by her family. The ceremony was her circumcision.
Now 26, Zalida is helping spur what Time Magazine calls "a quiet revolution". She translated a comic book about Martin Luther King, Jr. to help promote civil disobedience. She organized a human rights film festival, the first in Cairo, and had to fight the authorities (and sail off onto the Nile) in order to show her film.
I'm too tired to really give this a good conclusion.
