Today I need to rave on delivery. It is something I take for granted everyday, but it makes my life so much better.
It all begins with mail. Sure we get upset at the mail when it is late, but think about it for one minute. You can write an address and put postage (which is cheap as hell) on the envelope, drop it into a mail box, and in a matter of days it can travel across the country and be put in another person's mailbox. Sure e-mail is basically free and instantaneous, but it just is not the same.
Along the same line I do almost all of my shopping online. Gifts get sent directly to the other person's house in time for holidays or birthdays. Or they come straight to my house so I can deliver them. I don't have to leave my house to do the shopping, wrapping, or anything else if I don't want.
The best though is food. You can have nearly any type of food delivered if you live in the right area. Sadly, I do not live in said areas. But I can still get chinese and pizza, which is not too bad. Some people can even have groceries delivered, which is ridiculous. In a good way.
All I need to do is move to New York City and I can never leave my apartment while still enjoying all the finest things in life my non-existent salary can buy.
